Virus spam storms net
A horde of virus spam, nicknamed storm worm by security researchers, countinues to course through the Net, hijacking and infecting computers. Its latest strategy is to send solid-looking emails which seek “confirmation of login and password”. Those who click the mail are led to a site booby trapped with malware.
Storm worm has been circulating in the Internet since January this year and has always stayed a step ahead of security researchers. It first tricked users through emails promising information about storms. Since it has taken many avatars. Even as researchers blew its latest cover of hot pics the worm metamorphosed into the confirmation avatar. Security firms have warned users not to open such mails.
