Cisco and Wipro tie up to provide IT solutions

Cisco and Wipro Ltd announced a strategic alliance to develop and deliver information technology service solutions to help both companies meet their customer’s needs.
Cisco and Wipro together will build new IT infrastructure service solutions that combine Cisco’s industry-leading networking solutions with Wipro’s infrastructure and managed services portfolio.
The companies also announced the establishment of the Cisco Solution Centre at the Wipro Campus in Bangalore. The centre will develop and showcase new services and solutions, such as Cisco Unified Communications, that will take advantage of the network platform to help enterprise customers drive innovation and business growth.
John Chambers, Chairman and CEO of Cisco said that Cisco and Wipro Ltd would jointly develop and deliver new solutions that incorporate their networking technology and services in business process and IT, according to the agreement.
He said that they were looking at $1 billion investment on that in the next three years. Wipro Ltd will offer solutions based on Cisco products and services globally, with the initial focus on India, Middle East and Africa.
Satyam Computer Services announced to collaborate with Cisco to explore a new venture that will optimise, deploy and manage solutions for handling medical distress solutions and health management solutions for global markets.
B.Ramalinga Raju, Chairman, Satyam Computers said that valuing and caring for life was a fundamental part of their society and had driven their social responsibility efforts. He said collaborating with Cisco would help them in taking their services across the world sooner and faster.
