Cash from internet coupons Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

Online retailers often refer to Internet Coupons as “coupon codes,” “promotional codes,” “promotion codes,” “discount codes,” “key codes,” “promo codes,” “shopping codes,” “voucher codes” or “source codes.” Internet coupons typically provide for reduced cost or free shipping, a specific dollar or percentage discount, or some other offer to encourage consumers to purchase specific products or to purchase from specific retailers.

Manufacturers and retailers also consider Internet Coupons to be those that resemble traditional “offline” coupons, but can be printed from a user’s computer and redeemed in-store.

There are hundreds of websites that post Internet coupons. Every day visit these websites, collect coupons that are current, legal and valid and post them on your websites. Simultaneously promote your website and make money.

There are hundreds of types of coupons, it is better to concentrate on coupons for Internet related online services such as domain names registration and web hosting services. Though there are many ways to make money. Online ads and commission sharing methods will work. Online ads are those contextual ads and banners ads from companies like Google.

The other way is to become affiliate of online service providers and get your special coupons. Ask your visitors to use your coupons, buy the service, and email you the bill and proof of payment. Based on this information you can find out from your affiliate account how much commission you have earned on this particular customer account. You can split the commission between you and him. For example, if an online service provider offers you USD 100 commission, tell your customer that you’ll give him USD 50 on receipt of the proof.

You are happy because you make a cool USD 50 and the customer is happy because he makes USD 50 that he would not have received had he signed up directly. Hundreds of web entrepreneurs are doing it. You too can do it. It is easy because it does not involve writing or creating, original, readable content. But remember you will not be able to make big money through this method unless you automate the process.

Enticed by sops, IT firms rush for special economic zones

Enticed by sops, IT firms rush for special economic zones Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

Having bagged 70 percent of the total formal approvals for setting up SEZs, IT and ITeS firms carries on to rush for Special Economic Zones and the sector will rule the agenda for the next Board of Approvals (BoA) meeting to be held this week.

Of the 15 proposals listed for the BoA meeting on October 19, 11 belong to the IT and ITeS sector, including those from TCS and DLF for their new projects in West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. Out of the 366 Special Economic Zones formally approved by the government so far, 257 are for IT and ITeS, accounting for 70 percent. All the big IT firms like Infosys Technologies, TCS, Wipro, HCL and Satyam have joined the SEZ bandwagon, Commerce Ministry data has revealed so far.

The Special Economic Zone scheme, under which several tax incentives are extended for 15 years, has come in as an alternative to the existing Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) scheme, which gives fiscal sops but will expire in March 2009. However, some analysts feel that it is not tax incentives, alone which are attracting IT and ITeS companies toward SEZs but also the need for global infrastructure, which is easier to build in these zones.

Director General of the Export Promotion Council for EOUs and SEZs L B Singhal said that the SEZ scheme was selfsufficient. He said, there were advantages like ease of operation through single window clearance and creation of infrastructure, apart from fiscal incentives. Leaving aside IT majors, IT and ITeS SEZs are also being established by large real estate companies like DLF and Parsvnath.
